We are now ready to create harvest and haul contracts for our source.  To create a harvest contract,  navigate to the source we created earlier and select HARVEST from the list of contract types on the Source screen.  Then, click on the New Contract button:



On the New Contract Parameter screen, fill in the different contract parameters with the values indicated below:

Using what you have learned so far about creating contract lines and rates, create two contract line entries with the same Product List, Species Group ID, Species List, Form List, and Destination List values you defined for the contract lines of the stumpage purchase contract.  It is important to do this because you will otherwise encounter errors when validating your loads.  Configure your contract line entries with a rate of $10 per TON.  Your completed contract line and rate configurations should look similar to the following:




Validate and sign your harvest contract so that it is ready for use.  Ensure the contract is in SIGNED status:



We will now create a haul contract.   To do so, navigate back to your source and select HAUL from the list of contract types.  Then, click on the New Contract button.

Once your haul contract is created, create two contract line entries and associated rates that match the contract line entries you created for your stumpage purchase and harvest contracts.  Be sure to use the same values for Product List, Species Group ID, Species List, Form List, and Destination List that you used for your stumpage purchase and harvest contracts.  However, use a rate of $5 per TON for hauling.  Once done,  validate and sign your haul contract so that it is ready for use.
